If you decide to install Alterna on your own, it’s possible to get it done in one day. However, if you’ve never done a floor installation with adhesives before, it’s better to hire a professional. They can get it done even faster based on their expertise. Installing Alterna is still, by far, faster than installing traditional ceramic tile or real stone.

Assuming you install the floor on your own, be sure to check your subfloor first. It needs to be dry, clean, and flat. Take all furniture out of your room, and remove your wall trim.
