Anderson Tuftex Hardwood Reviews
Imperial Pecan
Out of all the colors and looks of hardwood Anderson Tuftex offers, Imperial Pecan is unique. It offers a brown-colored pecan appearance, giving you the best-engineered wood Anderson is famous for making.
They call this color "Fawn", officially, with a width of 7.50 inches. Thickness is 1/2-inch.
Its UV Aluminum Oxide Finish brings superior protection against more than sunlight. This superior surface also thoroughly protects against scuffs and abrasions.
Installation choices include either by nail, staple, glue, or as a floating floor.
A standout aspect of Imperial Pecan is its smooth surface, making it perfect for just about any living space in your home.
You can get this in a 25.77 sq ft. size for large rooms.
Noble Hall
The beautiful look of White Oak on Noble Hall can suit many different living environments. It works the same for commercial spaces.
Adding to the aesthetic quality here is a wire-brushed surface. You can bring a great rustic appearance to any room with the cool, blonde woods utilized.
At the same time, you're bringing chic design in a modern sense. If you need to spruce up a dull-looking room, this type of floor works well.
Planks for Noble Hall have a width of 7 inches, with an overall thickness of 1/2-inch.
Like many Tuftex floors, this also has UV aluminum oxide on the surface for added protection from floor traffic.
Buckingham
As a slightly more luxurious product, Buckingham provides the natural beauty of White Oak with the look of distressed wood. This is a slightly darker color and what Tuftex calls "Wales."
What makes Buckingham a little more top-tier is its use of a Luster-Lock Ultra Finish. It gives you six times more protection against scratches and scuffs. Anderson does this by placing micro-sized crystals of ceramic and aluminum oxide on the surface.
Each plank here has a width of 8 inches, and all have a wire-brushed texture. The thickness level is 5/8-inch.
Like many of the Tuftex hardwood floors, you have various choices on how you want it installed. While floating is the easiest, it's possible to use glue, nails, or staples.
You'll even discover this is one of the most durable in the Tuftex line. Anyone with kids or pets will appreciate this floor not wearing out any time soon.
Natural Timbers Bandsaw
Otherwise known as Willow Bandsaw, Natural Timbers is a white oak floor that is very impressive to the eye.
Band-sawn wood is particularly good for hiding scratches and scuffing. However, this has a UV aluminum oxide finish already providing a thick layer of protection against wear.
As a lighter color, this works well to help brighten any dark room. With a thickness of 1/2-inch, it's not meant for overly busy floors. For a room not getting much traffic at home, it's perfect.
You can get this in a plank size of 8.66 inches, covering any large area. Planks are 35.99 sq. ft. per box.
Kensington
Another great white oak hardwood floor from Tuftex is Kensington. You can designate this as another in their slightly more luxurious brands. That's because Kensington uses the more robust Luster-Lock Ultra Finish on the surface for the utmost protection.
Plus, the aesthetic of Kensington has to be seen in person. The look of distressed wood on this is stunning to see in any living space.
Tuftex named the color here "Pembridge", all based on a multi-layer staining process. It's a dark color without being too dark. As such, it offers the perfect shade to add style anywhere.
Planks are 8 inches wide here, plus a thickness of 5/8 of an inch. A thickness at this level is more than enough to take on the busiest foot traffic. No wonder so many install this in commercial businesses as much as at home.
Natural Timbers Smooth
The Natural Timbers brand through Tuftex has another version: Smooth. This one is a little different from the Bandsaw edition. Regardless, it still uses a bandsaw cut.
What makes it different is it uses a raw finish to bring a smooth open grain texture. It's effective when you want your floor to feel smooth, especially if often walking around your home on bare feet.
Another standout is the bandsaw cut makes the floor look like fine linen.
Natural Timbers Smooth is only a half-inch thick, making it just right for moderately busy rooms. Planks are nearly nine inches long to cover large spaces.
You can get 35.99 sq. ft. of planks in every box. The official color name here is "Orchard Smooth."
Ravenwood
The color of Onyx is one of the standouts on Tuftex's Ravenwood floor. Another wire-brushed texture surface brings out rustic charms through a pleasing dark appearance. Still, it's a part of the White Oak species.
Plank thickness is 1/2-inch, making it suitable for a room not overly busy. All planks are nearly 9 inches long.
A UV aluminum oxide finish again provides the utmost protection against any type of wear. Having this added protection against scuffing and abrasions is what makes Tuftex stand out from most other hardwood floor brands.
Those of you who want to add radiant heating can also enjoy using it under these planks without causing any issues.
Palo Duro 5"
Tuftex's Palo Duro floors come in two different brand names, with this one being only 5 inches in width.
This 5-inch version is made of Hickory wood, bringing beautiful brownish hues hickory is known to have. The official color name here is Hammer Glow.
Luster-Lock Ultra is the surface finish on this floor, offering slightly more robust durability compared to aluminum oxide. With a heavily scraped surface texture besides, the look of this is fit for the most rustic interior design.
The thickness level on Palo Duro is 3/8-inch, making it one of the higher-end floors for durability. You can install it as a floating floor, or with nails, glue, or staples.
Planks cover 34.69 sq. ft. per box, making the floor ideal for large rooms in your home, office, or retail locations.
Palo Duro Mixed Width
The second Palo Duro hardwood floor available is named "Mixed Width" because you can get it in various width sizes. These range from 3, 5, to 6.8 inches.
It still uses the appealing hickory wood species, including giving the look Anderson describes as an "early 20th-century factory floor." An appearance of aged wood brings real value if you have a home or business with an old-world vibe.
Tuftex calls the color name here "Copper." A Luster-Lock Ultra finish makes it very powerful in protecting your floor for years to come.
Like the 5-inch version of Palo Duro, this has a 3/8-inch thickness. Planks cover 34.22 sq. ft. per box.
One of the major benefits of this particular brand is it's made in the USA, unlike many others still manufactured in China.
Bentley Plank
Hickory wood is available in other Tuftext floors, including Bentley Park. This brings a wire-brush surface brushed completely by hand, giving real wood craftsmanship.
You get a chance to present the natural textures of the wood this way, bringing wide appeal when wanting to show off the rustic nature of wood.
Tuftext also calls the color here "Copper", giving you a glowing brownish hue. Another Luster-Lock Ultra Finish gives you superior protection so you can use it in the busiest areas.
The width of each plank is five inches, and the thickness is 3/8 of an inch. Planks cover 34.69 sq. ft. per box.
Thanks to the floor's installation grade, you have a chance to install above, below, or on existing floors.
For those of you who want your floors America-made, this is another one manufactured here in the USA.
